Asset Forfeiture and Investigative Tools for Law Enforcement

15 § 5821 Section 9: Subject Property
All assets, personal property and real property used or intended for use or traceable to a human trafficking offense are subject to forfeiture to the state.

The following laws allow the leaders of a criminal organization to be tried for crimes they ordered others to do or assisted others with:

17-A § 151 Criminal Conspiracy
Class of Crime varies

Guilty if a person agrees with one or more other persons to commit a crime

17-A § 153 Criminal Solicitation
Class of Crime varies

​Guilty if a person attempts to convince another person to engage in a crime or be an accomplice to a crime
